Who We Are
The Winter Park Housing Authority is a nonprofit organization that owns 707 apartment units across six multi-family rental properties in Winter Park, Florida. This includes 119 public housing units, but please note that we do not offer Section 8 housing.
Our mission is to provide a secure, sanitary, non-discriminatory, crime- and drug-free environment in a nurturing community where residents have access to resources to live independently.
Living at Our Apartments
Our funding offsets the cost of rent for tenants, who pay 30 percent of their adjusted household income Seniors and people with disabilities occupy a little over one-third of our apartments; families with children rent the remainder.
People with disabilities, people over the age of 62, U.S. military veterans, working adults, and people living or working in Winter Park receive preference for housing.
