Public Housing Waiting List Opens 10/31

Winter Park Housing Authority (WPHA) will open its waiting list for its Public Housing program at: Tranquil Terrace - 845 W. Swoope Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789

This notice serves as the opening for the waiting list of Efficiency units only at the property listed above.

All household members must be 62 years of age or older and/or have a disability. Pre-applications not meeting these age/disability criteria will be denied automatically.

The pre-application period will open on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time). Public Notice will be provided when WPHA determines that the Waiting List should be closed. The pre-application provides an opportunity for applicants to be selected from the public housing waitlist. However, a pre-application does not guarantee that the applicant will be selected. Applicants already on waiting lists for other housing programs must apply separately for this program and such applicants will not lose their place on other waiting lists when they apply for public housing.

• Pre-applications will be accepted 24 hours a day during the open period
• Pre-applications may be submitted using smartphones, tablets, or any device with internet access. Interested persons without access to the internet who want to be an applicant may use public computers at libraries or community sites in your surrounding community.
• Paper pre-applications will not be distributed or accepted.
• You must have a valid email address to complete the pre-application and to receive the Housing Authority notifications. A confirmation email will be sent upon successful submission of your preliminary application
  (Free email accounts are available on Yahoo; Gmail; Outlook; or Hotmail.)
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Only one pre-application per adult is permitted
• All pre-applications containing duplicate social security numbers (SSNs) will be denied.

Public Housing: Applicants will be selected by date and time of pre-application, in accordance with WPHA's ACOP. Selection from this waitlist does not guarantee admission into the PH programs. Applicants who are not selected or determined ineligible for the bedroom unit listed under this notice shall not have any further right to or entitlement to be listed on any other bedroom waitlist.
